Jillian Banner is a documentary filmmaker currently based in Washington, DC, where she works as a video fellow at The Atlantic. She also produces video content for Ultiworld, making interview-style shorts that cover college, club, and professional ultimate frisbee.
Jillian has directed, shot, and edited short documentaries about rodeo clowns, vision care, and imaginary relationships. Her short film “Sally and Bruce” was selected as one of 25 finalists in the Sundance Ignite Film Challenge. Her work has also been featured on PBS, used by Minnesota Public Radio, and screened at festivals across the U.S. and internationally.
